How Should The Material Slip On The Belt Conveyor?

We all know that belt conveyors rely on friction to transport materials, but if the conveyor belt of the belt conveyor slips off when running materials, what should we do?

This situation generally occurs, mostly caused by insufficient friction between the material and the conveyor belt. We can use the following methods to improve:

1. Conveyor belt pattern:

When conveying some materials with small particle size and smooth appearance, conveyor belts with patterns can be used, such as herringbone belts, V-shaped belts, etc. It can increase the friction between the conveyor belt and the material to prevent the material from slipping.

2. Conveyor groove angle:

We can use a larger groove angle to make the conveyor belt form a U shape, so that the conveyor belt becomes a deep groove, which can effectively prevent the material from scattering and rolling off during the conveying process.

3. Inclination:

If the inclination angle of the conveying is large enough, a large inclination belt conveyor can also be used, and the corrugated sidewall conveyor belt can also prevent the material from slipping.
